Farmacia del Pavaglione is able to compound a wide range of pharmaceutical dosage forms, including parenteral solutions, ophthalmic preparations, capsules, tablets, oral liquids, lotions, creams and other formulations.
For both sterile compounded medicines, including parenteral and ophthalmic preparations, and non-sterile preparations for oral or topical use, Farmacia del Pavaglione can meet a wide range of requirements from healthcare organisations, hospital pharmacies and Local Health Authorities, supported by its modern compounding facilities and experienced compounding pharmacists.
Sterile and non-sterile medicinal products are compounded in physically separate areas designed according to stringent criteria governing materials, surface characteristics and facility layout. These environments are designed to comply with the requirements set out in the Italian Good Preparation Practices (NBP, Italian Pharmacopoeia) and, for sterile medicinal products, the applicable Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, including EU GMP Annex 1.
In the non-sterile compounding area, isolator technology is used to protect both the product and the operator. Sterile medicinal products are prepared in a dedicated facility divided into controlled areas, each with defined environmental contamination limits and designated for specific operations. The highest-grade environment, Grade A, is provided with vertical unidirectional airflow and is used for the critical final filling operations into the final containers of sterile preparations.
